Join us for the first of three classic Charlie Chaplin films. We’ll examine what this master artist saw in his time and how it speaks to what’s happening today. The Immigrant is a silent short film from 1917 featuring the iconic “Little Tramp” on a journey to the U.S. and capturing some of the reality of early 20th century America’s reaction to newcomers.
Following the screening, stay for a discussion with David Huffman, Director of Marketing with Cleveland Cinemas, and Dr. Sean Martin, Associate Curator of Jewish History, Western Reserve Historical Society.
